Dr. Alicia Muhammad is a passionate and committed education professional with over two decades of service as a middle school teacher and administrator and in higher education serving in instructional and administrative roles in both student and academic affairs.
Dr. Muhammad is driven to support the academic and personal goals/successes of a culturally diverse learner population. Her collaborative approach to leadership and program development has been successfully implemented to organize student academic support services and personal success programs throughout her over two-decades-long career as an educator. Her research interests focus on equity issues in K-12 and higher education in the areas of education leadership, academic advising, the contingent faculty workforce, and the academic engagement of diverse student populations.
In her downtime, the Star Trek fandom is an active aspect of her wellness. LT. Alicia is definitely a Trekkie! She a member of the fan group STARFLEET and serves as Assistant Director for the Bajoran Orientation College.
