Rebekah Saylors

Rebekah graduated with a BA in English/Communication Arts from Lees-McRae College in 2002 where she was a scholarship athlete on the cross-country team (Division II). After graduation, she worked at The Mountain Times newspaper in the production and graphic design departments, as well as doing a little freelance writing on the side. 

In 2005, she began her MA in Higher Education, Teaching (ESL) at Appalachian State University. After graduation in 2008, she joined the enrollment management team at Lees-McRae College as the Associate Director of Admissions. Also at LMC, Rebekah taught a study abroad course, where they ventured to Cuernavaca, Mexico, and lived with a group of nuns.  

Currently, Rebekah works in the Reich College of Education in the Office of the Dean as the Scholarship Coordinator and Accelerated Admissions Recruiter. She also teaches a first year seminar course UCO 1200 based on Gretchen Rubin's "The Happiness Project", as well as CI 1010 "So You Think You Want To Teach".
